Recipe appetizers for 6 people based on Baked ham - cooking method pan fried.
Preparation: Spread the mustard on the bread. Cut out the ham and cheese in order to obtain six slices of the first and 12 of the second as big as the sandwich. Arrange a slice of cheese on six slices of bread, add the ham then the cheese again. Cover the toasts with the remaining bread and, if you like, tie them with thin kitchen string. Heat the butter in a pan and brown the toast for a few minutes on both sides. Serve them hot. For a lighter version of croque-monsieur, simply toast them instead of frying them.
